M.Video-Eldorado IFRS net loss rises 24% to 4.6 bln rbl in Jan–Jun

MOSCOW, Aug 25 (PRIME) -- The net loss of Russia’s largest electronic goods and household appliances retailer M.Video-Eldorado widened 24% on the year to 4.644 billion rubles in January–June, as calculated under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the company said in a statement on Friday.

Revenue decreased 18.1% to 7.406 billion rubles. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) rose 18.1% to 179.204 billion rubles.

Deputy CFO Anna Garmanova said the EBITDA margin reached 4.1%.

Gross merchandise value dropped 16.5% to 219 billion rubles, value-added tax (VAT) included, M.Video-Eldorado also said.
